It is useful in snake bite and scorpion sting, infertility, arthritis, leprosy, impotence, sterility, in liver disorders and hemiplegia.

It has hypolipidemic and thyroid stimulating properties. It is useful in atherosclerosis, psoriasis and cardiac ischemia. It is used against obesity. Guggulipid is hypocholesteremic.
